To work independently on the machines in the FW, you must first complete a tutorial. Students from WB and MT already receive these tutorials during their bachelor studies, but the FW also offers the opportunity for others to follow these tutorial sessions. There are two sessions: one for the lathe and one for the milling machine.

During the tutorial, you will produce a standard part on the machine under the supervision of a student assistant. Important topics such as speed, precision and safety are covered in detail. The lathe and milling tutorials are given separately and last four hours each.

Students of WB and MT follow these instructions during their bachelor’s, but the FW also offers others the opportunity to follow these instructions. The schedule for these instructions can be found via this link, if you want to follow an instruction you can sign up in this schedule.
